It has been such a joy to lead By Grace over the last 7 years! This year, at least for the first semester, I will be taking a time of rest. We will not be holding By Grace meetings and I will continue praying about the details of By Grace's return in 2012.
In the meantime, I hope to encourage you with this blog. Plus, Larry and I will continue to work with IAHE. We look forward to represent home schoolers and support groups in Lake, Porter, LaPorte, Newton, Jasper, and Pulaski Counties. It is our goal to provide you with encouragement, more home school group contacts so you will find the support you need, and pray for you.
Please join us in praying for all that home school in Indiana, the U.S., and across the world. Your prayers make an eternal difference! Each one of us plays a big part in supporting the home schooling ligament of God's body and each of us can be used by Him to encourage and build up His people! Thank you for your prayers and may God bless each of you with His vision to home school for His glory!! Lawrence and Kelly McManus

Homeschool Field Day 2011
Homeschool Field Day 2011
Field Day 2011 will be held Friday, May 20th at Lemon Lake County Park. Plan to arrive at LEMON LAKE by 8:30 AM for check-in, with events starting promptly at 9:00 AM.
Deadline for registration will be Wednesday, May 11, 2010. The cost for this year’s event will be $4 per person with a maximum of $20 per family. Included in the cost, will be a lunch consisting of hot dogs, chips and a drink as well as a healthy snack for participants during intermission. Also included, will be ribbons awarded to the event finishers. All attendees 4 years old and over (including parents/grandparents) pay the $4 registration fee even if you will be not be eating the provided meal. Cost for lunch for children under 4 will be $2 per child. Although for the past few years entrance fees to Lemon Lake County Park have not been charged on field day, there is a big possibility that Lemon Lake may have a gatekeeper on duty. This would mean an additional cost per vehicle of $5 for Lake County residents and $8 for non-residents that would need to be paid upon arrival at the Lemon Lake entrance gate.
To register send an email to lcfieldday@aol.com with the following information:
*attending parent(s) name:
*address:
*phone number:
*name and ages of all children attending
A confirmation email will be sent to you that will include registration payment information.
To make Field Day successful all parents will be assigned a position to help with the event. This is a very large event and we are also in need of people willing to arrive early to help set up. If you have circumstances that would limit your ability to help, such as an infant or physical limitations, please be sure to include that information in your email so we can plan your Field Day position accordingly.
In keeping with previous Field Day events, we ask that you bring a dessert to share. You may also want to bring lawn chairs or a lawn blanket, water bottles and a camera. Watch the weather forecast for the day and dress accordingly.
We are looking forward to another fun filled day of excitement and games and hope that you will join us. If you have any questions or need more information email or call any of the event coordinators or just respond on the registration email
